How do I use CollectByCheck?
By phone, simply explain to the delinquent party that there is no need to mail a check, and no postage is necessary. All you need is their bank account information such as, bank routing number, and account number.
A sample conversation might go like this: "Due to the severe delinquency of your account I can not accept a promise to pay by mail". "What I need to have you do is pay by phone today, no mail, no postage necessary". "Is your check book close by?" "All I need is some basic information to finish this process."
You can then enter the information directly into the secure check interface via our website or write it down, and give to a centralized person in your office to enter. We process and mail checks daily or we can even electronically deposit the money into your bank account.

How is the money deposited into our bank account?
CollectByCheck mails the checks to you First Class for deposit, or we can deposit the money electronically.
You are not charged for postage.
Do I have to have a website?
No, information is taken by phone, then we handle the rest. You will need Internet access so that you can access our secure web site to enter the debtors information.
How soon can I begin using CollectByCheck after I sign up?

Is it legal?
Of course. Under the Uniform Commercial Code, Title 3, it is legal and acceptable for an individual (your debtor) to authorize you to
endorse a check on their behalf. Therefore, the debtors signature on the endorsement line is not necessary. For merchants using our Electronic Check Processing service, you must either use our check
interface or be certified. Call us for details.
Are the funds guaranteed?
CollectByCheck is just like a regular check. There is the possibility the check is NSF. CollectByCheck includes verification and an address verification system,
which give you a large margin of safety.
How soon do I get the money?
This depends on which delivery option that you qualify for and choose. For mail delivery, checks are processed every night and mailed the following business day. For companies using electronic deposits, settlement is usually 5 bank days.
